ተጠባባቂ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ኃይለማርያም ደሳለኝ ኢትዮጵያን እንዲያስተዳድሩ ከተሰየሙበት ቀን ጀምሮ መነጋገሪያ ሆነዋል። “ራሳቸውን ችለው መስራት አይችሉም” ከሚለው ድፍን አስተያየት ጀምሮ አቶ ኃይለማርያምን “ለወቅቱ አስፈላጊና ብቃት ያላቸው” በማለት የሚመሰክሩላቸው አልታጡም። እነዚህ ክፍሎች እንደሚሉት አቶ ኃይለማርያም “ህዝብን የምጨቁን ሰው አይደለሁም” በማለት በሚያመልኩት አምላካቸውና በእግዚአብሔር ህዝብ ፊት አስቀድመው ቃል መግባታቸውንና የተፈጥሮ ባህሪያቸውን በማመሳከር ይከራከራሉ። በሌላ ወገን ደግሞ “አቶ ኃይለማርያም የቀድሞው ስብዕናቸው ፈርሶ በአዲስ ተሰርቷል። አቶ መለስ በአብዮታዊ ዲሞክራሲያዊ ፍልስፍና አጥምቀዋቸዋል። ከእርሳቸው ምንም አይጠበቅም” በሚል የሚያጣጥሏቸውም አሉ።
አቶ ኃይለማርያምን ያሳደገችው የኢትዮጵያ ሐዋሪያት ቤተ ክርስቲያን አባሎች ከዛሬ ሶስት ዓመት በፊት በደቡብ ክልል ሞራ በሚባል ስፍራ የተከናወነውን በማስታወስ ለጎልጉል ምስክርነታቸውን ሰጥተዋል። በ2001ዓም በሞራ ቤቴል ዓለምአቀፍ ኮንፈራንስ ከ50 ሺህ በላይ ህዝብ በተገኘበት ኮንፍራንስ ላይ ለመገኘት አቶ ኃይለማርያም ከሁለት ጠባቂዎቻቸው ጋር ወደ ስፍራው ተጉዘው ነበር።
ከደቡብ ክልል ርዕሰ መስተዳድር መንበራቸው ወደ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ቢሮ በአማካሪነት የተዛወሩት አቶ ኃይለማርያም ሞራ በኮንፍራንሱ ላይ በተገኙበት ወቅት ንግግር እንዲያደርጉ ተጋብዘው ነበር። በስፍራው የነበሩት ምስክሮች እንደገለጹት አቶ ኃይለማርያም መነጋገሪያውን ከጨበጡ በኋላ መናገር አቅቷቸው ምንም ሳይተነፍሱ እንባቸው ይወርድ ነበር።
“ተናገር ከተባልኩ” አሉ አቶ ኃይለማርያም፤ እንደምስክሮቹ ገለጻ “ተናገር ከተባልኩ እኔ በእግዚአብሔር ህዝብ መካከል መቆምና መናገር የማይገባኝ ሰው ነኝ፡፡” አቶ ኃይለማርያም ይህንን ከተናገሩ በኋላ እያለቀሱ ተንበረከኩ። መናገሪያቸውን አስተካክለው ከመንበርከክም ወርደው ይህንን አሉ “ዕድሉን ከሰጣችሁኝ መልዕክቴ፣ እግዚአብሔር ኢትዮጵያን እንዲያስባት፣ እግዚአብሔር ኢትዮጵያን እንዲመለከታት ጸልዩ፤ እግዚአብሔር ለመሪዎች የሰለሞንን ጥበብ እንዲሰጥ አልቅሱ፤ መሪዎች በፍቅርና በሰላም እንዲያስተዳድሩ ጸልዩ…” የሚል ነበር።
በመንፈሳዊ ህይወታቸው የመለስን ወንበር እስከተረከቡበት እለት ድረስ የሚፈለግባቸውን የሚያበረክቱ፣ ከገቢያቸው ለቤተክርስቲያን አስራትን የሚመልሱ መሆናቸውን በመጥቀስ ለጎልጉል አስተያየት የሰጡት ክፍሎች አቶ ኃይለማርያም በቤተክርስቲያኒቱ የከፍተኛ ተቋም ተመራቂ ተማሪዎች ህብረት ላይ ልምድ ሲያካፍሉ “እመኝ የነበረው አገልጋይ ለመሆን ነበር። ወደ ድርጅት ከሄድኩም በኋላ ስራዬን በታማኝነት እሰራ ነበር። አሁንም እየሰራሁ ነው። የህዝብ አገልጋይ ነኝ። ህዝብ የምጨቁን ሰው አይደለሁም። ለህዝብ የምታዘዝ ሰው ነኝ” በማለት መናገራቸውን ያስታውሳሉ። በተደጋጋሚ ስለመታመንና ስለታማኝነት የሚናገሩት አቶ ኃይለማርያም አሁን ስማቸውን መጥራት የማይፈልጓቸውን ከፍተኛ ባለስልጣን ከወንጌል ጋር ማስታረቃቸውን ይናገራሉ።
በእስራኤል አገር የሚኖሩ የአቶ ኃይለማርያም የወላይታ ሶዶ ከፍተኛ ሁለተኛ ደረጃ ትምህርት ቤት የክፍል ባልደረባ አቶ ምህረቱ “ኃይለማርያም ዝምተኛ፣ ትምህርቱን በወጉ የሚማር፣ ከአጠቃላይ ሴክሽን አንደኛ እየወጣ በዓመቱ የሚሸለም፣ የማይንቀለቀል፣ በተማሪዎችም ሆነ በመምህራን ዘንድ የሚወደድ አንገተ ግቡ ተማሪ ነበር” ሲሉ ለጎልጉል ተናግረዋል።
ከአዲስ አበባ ዩኒቨርሲቲ በሲቪል ኢንጂነሪንግ በማዕረግ የተመረቁት አቶ ኃይለማርያም ፊንላንድ ቴምፐር ዩኒቨርስቲ በሳኒቴሽን ኢንጂነሪንግ የማስተርስ ዲግሪ ያገኙ ሲሆን ኢህአዴግን ከተቀላቀሉ በኋላ ደረጃውና መስፈርቱ ባይታወቅም አቶ መለስ አብዮታዊ ዴሞክራሲን በወጉ እንዳጠመቁዋቸውና በጣም ያምኑዋቸው እንደነበር በቅርብ የሚያውቋቸው ይናገራሉ። አቶ መለስም በአቶ ኃይለማርያም አማካይነት ከወንጌል ጋር የመተዋወቅ እድል እንዳገኙ እነዚሁ ምንጮች አልሸሸጉም።
አርባ ምንጭ ውሃ ቴክኖሎጂ መምህርና ዲን የነበሩት አቶ ኃይለማርያም የሚወክሉት ብሄር አነስተኛ በመሆኑ በክልሉ ከፍተኛ ቁጥር ባለው የሲዳማ ህዝብ በተነሳ “አብላጫ ህዝብን የሚወከል ይምራ” ጥያቄ የደቡብ ክልልን ለአምስት ዓመት ያህል ካስተዳደሩ በኋላ ወደ ፌዴራል መንግስት ተዛውረው በማህበራዊ ጉዳዮችና በህዝብ አደረጃጀት ዘርፍ የቀድሞው ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር አማካሪ ሆነው ሰርተዋል። በ2002 ምርጫ አቶ በረከትን ተክተው የኢህአዴግ የምርጫ አጋፋሪ በመሆን የፈጸሙት ተልዕኮ በድርጅት ታሪካቸው በታላቅ ስኬት የተመዘገበላቸው እንደሆነ፣ ይህንንም ተከትሎ የውጪ ጉዳይ ሚኒስትርና የም/ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትርነቱን ስልጣን ማግኘት እንደቻሉ በተለያዩ አጋጣሚዎች መነገሩ ይታወሳል። በድርጅት ስኬታማ ያደረጋቸው የምርጫ 2002 ዘመቻ መሪነታቸውን ግን ብዙዎች አልወደዱላቸውም ነበር። የቅርብ ጓደኞቻቸው “አርፎ ቢያስተምር ይሻለው ነበር” በማለት አስተያየት ሰጥተውም ነበር።
ሟቹን ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ተክተው ስለሚሰሩበት አግባብ አጀንዳ ከፍተው የሚነጋገሩ እንደሚሉት አቶ ኃይለማርያም በነጻነት መስራት አይችሉም። አገሪቱንም የመምራት ብቃት የላቸውም። በህወሃት ሰዎች የተከበቡት አቶ ኃይለማርያም በራሳቸው የሚወስኑትም ሆነ እንዲፈጸም የሚያወርዱት መመሪያ ሊኖር እንደማይችል የሚገልጹ ክፍሎች አቶ ኃይለማርያምን “የችግር ጊዜ ማስተንፈሻ አሻንጉሊት” ይሏቸዋል። አስተያየታቸውን ሲያጠናክሩም “አገሪቱን የምንመራው በጋራ ነው” ሲሉ የተናገሩትን በመጥቀስ በግል ያላቸውን የመሪነት አቅም ኮሳሳነት ራሳቸው እንደመሰከሩ አድርገው ያቀርባሉ።
በሌላ ወገን የአቶ ኃይለማርያምን ስብዕና የሚያውቁ ደግሞ እንዲህ ያለውን ትችት የወረደና የኢህአዴግ ሰለባ የሆነ አመለካከት አድርገው ይመለከቱታል፤ አቶ ኃይለማርያም በቀለም እውቀታቸውም ሆነ አዕምሯቸው ብሩህ መሆኑን የሚናገሩት አስተያየት ሰጪዎች “የመሰለውን በግልጽ የሚናገር፣ የማይፈራና፣ መለማመጥ የማያውቅ ሰው ስለሆነ ማንም ሊጫነው አይችልም። ካልተመቸውና አላሰራ ካሉት አሻንጉሊት ሆኖ አይቀጥልም በቃኝ ብሎ ይወጣል” ሲሉ ይከራከራሉ። አያይዘውም “የትችት አስተያየት ማስቀደም ጤነኛ አካሄድ አይደለም። መልካም ለማድረግ ያሰቡ ሰዎችን ይጎዳል። እልህም ያጋባል” ሲሉ ምክር አዘል አስተያየት ይሰነዝራሉ።
በተሾሙ በማግስቱ የቀድሞውን አለቃቸውን ንግግር ቃል በቃል በመድገም ታማኝነታቸውን በማረጋገጥ ህዝብ ፊት ብቅ ያሉት አቶ ኃይለማርያም በግልጽ ቋንቋ “የተጀመረው ይቀጥላል” በማለት አንዳችም ለውጥ እንደማይደረግ አስረግጠው መናገራቸውን በማውሳት ከእርሳቸው አዲስ ነገር እንደማይጠብቁ የሚናገሩት ክፍሎች “አቶ ኃይለማርያም የቀድሞው ስብዕናቸው ፈርሶ በመለስ አምሳል ስለተሰሩ ከእርሳቸው ለውጥ መጠበቅ የዋህነት ነው” ሲሉ አስተያየታቸውን ይደመድማሉ።
ገለልተኛ አስተያየት የሰጡት አንድ ኦስሎ የሚኖሩ መንፈሳዊ ሰው “አቶ ኃይለማርያም በእግዚአብሔርና በህዝቡ ፊት የገባውን ቃል አደራ የሚበላ አይመስለኝም። ይልቁኑም በጸሎት እናግዘው። እኔ እስከማውቀው ኃይለማርያም ፈርሶ የሚሰራ ስብእና የለውም” በማለት በቀረበላቸው ጥያቄ ማዘናቸውን ገልጸው መልስ ሰጥተዋል።
አቶ ኃይለማርያም የአቶ መለስን ህልፈት አስመልክቶ ለጋዜጠኞች መግለጫ በሰጡት ወቅት ስለ ቀጣዩ ስራቸው ተጠይቀው “እንደ ግለሰብ እኔ ብቻ ሳልሆን ሁላችንም በቡድን ለመስራት ተግባብተናል” ማለታቸው፣ “ግለሰብ ግለሰብን ሊተካ አይችልም፣ እያንዳንዱ የራሱ ችሎታና አቅም አለው፤ አሁን እየተነጋገርን ያለነው በቡድን ስለመስራትና አደራችንን ስለማቀላጠፍ ነው” በማለት መናገራቸው፣ መለስን ካወደሱበት ንግግራቸው ውስጥ በመምዘዝ አቶ ኃይለማርያም ስልጣን በያዙ ማግስት የአንድ ሰው የበላይነት ማክተሙን ማመላከታቸውን የወደዱላቸውም አሉ። ኃይለማርያም ደሳለኝን “ብቃት የላቸውም” በማለት ያጣጣሏቸውን ቡድኖች “ቸኩለዋል” የሚሉት እኒህ ክፍሎች ነሃሴ 28 ቀን 2004 ለመላው የኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ ባደረጉት የምስጋና ንግግር ሁሉንም የህብረተሰብ ክፍል የጎዳና ተዳዳሪ ሳይቀር በመዘርዘር ትህትና የተሞላበት፣ እንዲሁም ኢትዮጵያን በተደጋጋሚ በሞገስ መጥራታቸው የስብዕናቸውን ጽዳት የሚያሳይ ሲሉ አድንቀዋቸዋል።
ሁሉም ሆኖ አዲሱ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር ጥሩ አስተዳዳሪ እንጂ ወሳኝ አመራር የመስጠት ጭካኔው የላቸውም። ይህ ደግሞ ከሚከተሉት እምነትና ከአስተዳደጋቸው የሚመነጭ በመሆኑ ከኢህአዴግ፣ በተለይም ከህወሃት ባህሪ አንጻር ፈተናቸውን ያበዛዋል የሚለው አስተያየት ያጋደለ ነው። ያም ሆነ ይህ አቶ ኃይለማርያም ታሪክ ሰርተው በማለፍ በኢትዮጵያ ህዝብና ቀጣዩ ትውልድ ሲዘከሩ የሚኖሩ መሪ ይሆኑ ዘንድ ከህዝብ የሚያስታርቃቸው ተግባር በታማኝነት እንዲያከናውኑ የእምነት ወንድሞቻቸው አደራቸውን አስተላልፈዋል። በማያያዝም ከህዝብና ከራሳቸው ህሊና ርቀው ብቻቸውን የቀሩትን የህወሃት ሰዎች በህይወት እያሉ ከህዝብ ጋር በማስታረቅ በአገሪቱ እርቅ እንዲወርድ በጽናት እንዲሰሩ ጥሪያቸውን አስተላልፈዋል። በቤተክርስቲያናቸው አማካይነት ይህንኑ እርቅ የማውረድ ስራ ተግተው እንዲሰሩ ከሽማግሌዎች ተከታታይ ምክርና የጸሎት ድጋፍ እንዲረግላቸው ይጠበቃል ሲሉ ተናግረዋል። ኢህአዴግ የተጓደሉ አባላትንና የድርጅቱን መሪ መተካት እጅግ ቀላል ጉዳይ እንደሆነ አድርጎ ባሰራጨው ዜና ቀጣዩን የኢትዮጵያ ጠቅላይ ሚኒስትር በመስከረም ወር መጀመሪያ በሚደረግ የድርጅቱ ጠቅላላ ጉባኤ ይፋ እንደሚያደርግ አስታውቋል።

Definately the fact that Hailemariam has the fear of God makes him better than Meles who was athist. But Hailemariam is part of a regime that kills and imprison its citizens and institinalize fear throughout the country. In the last ten years Hailemariam has been part of the 36- powerful EPRDF excutive council that has made many serious decisons including the killing of demonstrators and imprisonment of Kinijit leaders during the 2005 elections.How a man of God really agree in the cheating of elections and torture of prisoners? If his spirit is actively communicating with God, he could have rejected all the evil deeds of the regime. In my opinion, let us just consider him as a politician rather than a strong christian. Otherwise, it is a disgrace for the church having a memeber associated with killlings and injustices.
The man has fear of God which is good and the fear of God you can’t find it in Meles and Co. However, I don’t know how he can influence others. The army, security, and other institutions if remaining under TPLF how can he achieves his wish for Ethiopia? That is the big question.

It is a joke painting Hailemariam as a God fearing person. He lies, kills and supports all rudeness of Meles that brought him to power. I now personally how much He gave himself to the Lord in all aspects including in seeking wisdom and knowledge to lead a people from his early stage of his political career till now.Concerning the conflict in Awassa it is better to ask the indigenous sidama people to now the truth. you can even not benefited His Excellency by accusing him in this regards! Rather I asked you to open your mind and try to work with all officials to bring peace democracy. prosperity and development to our beloved country Ethiopia. Since the purpose of the influx of the so called “denominations” in recent years was to divide down Ethiopians who were united by one Orthodox faith, this man, once again, has shown with surety that he does not lack the opportunism as well as the affinity to embrace things that are injurious to Ethiopia. The atheist Meles will still be bad to Ethiopia in protestant forms.
