ጎልጉል የድረገጽ ጋዜጣ (ጎልጉል) ከተመሠረተበት መስከረም 2005ዓም ጀምሮ እስካሁን ከማንኛውም ማስታወቂያ ነጻ የሆነ የድረገጽ ጋዜጣ አገልግሎት እየሠጠ ይገኛል፡፡ ወደፊትም በዚሁ ለመቀጠል ለራሱ ቃል ይገባል፡፡
ይህንን ውሳኔ እንድናደርግ ያነሳሳን ምክንያት ከማስታወቂያ የሚገኘው ድረገጹ ለሚያስፈልገው ወጪ መሸፈኛ እንደሚያስፈልገን ሳንገነዘብ ቀርተን ሳይሆን የአንባቢዎቻችንን በማስታወቂያ የመሰላቸት ስቃይ ግምት ውስጥ በማስገባት ወደ ድረገጻችን ለንባብ የሚመጡ ሁሉ ያለአንዳች ረባሻና ሃሳባቸውን የሚሰርቅ ነገር በእርጋታና ጸጥታ የምናትማቸውን ጽሁፎች እንዲያነቡ በማሰብ ነው፡፡
ሆኖም ግን የጎልጉል ዜና ዘጋቢዎችም ሆኑ በአጠቃላይ የኤዲቶሪያል ቦርዱ አባላት ያለአንዳች ክፍያ ሥራቸውን በደስታና በታማኝነት የሚወጡ ብቻ ሳይሆን የድረገጹንም ወጪ ይጋራሉ፡፡ ይህንን ሁኔታ በቅርብ የሚከታተሉ የድረገጽ ጋዜጣችን ተሳታፊዎች ከወራት በፊት ሸክሙን ለመጋራት እንዲፈቀድላቸው ሲጠይቁን ቆይተዋል፡፡ “የድርሻችንን እንወጣ” በማለትም አሳስበውናል፤ ጠይቀውናል፡፡ ለጠየቁት ብቻ ሳይሆን ዕድሉን ለሌሎች ቅን አሳቢዎች ማመቻቸት መልካም እንደሆነ ያመነበት የኤዲቶሪያል ቦርድ የድርሻቸውን ለመወጣት ለሚፈልጉ ሁሉ እነሆ መንገዱ ይላል፡፡

Since its inception in September 2012, Goolgule: the Amharic Internet Newspaper (Goolgule) is serving its readers with an advertisement free service. It pledges to itself to continue the same way.
The decision of running an ad-free website is not made without considering the expenses that are needed to maintain and manage the website. However, we wanted to keep the hygiene of our website and provide a smooth and an undisturbed service to our readers who are so much weary of advertisements, pop-ups, etc.
Members of the editorial board and reporters of Goolgule are doing their job free of charge and without expecting any monetary benefits whatsoever. All perform their assigned duties with utmost willingness in the true spirit of volunteerism. They also share the load of other expenses that are directly or indirectly linked to Goolgule.
In the past, regular readers of Goolgule have been contacting us demanding ways to contribute their share to benefit Goolgule. Ever since we launched Goolgule, the request hasn’t dwindled but escalated.
To this effect, the editorial board has come to a point where all interested should be able to partake in this venture. We have set up a PayPal account to provide an easy and convenient way to donate.
