ከዚህ ቀጥሎ የማቀርበው ሃሳብ ከኦሮሞ ህዝብ መሃል ስለወጡና በተለያዩ ምክንያቶች በተሳሳተ አፍራሽ አመለካከት ተመርዘው በፅንፈኛነት ሃገርና ህዝብን ስለሚያተራምሱ በየዘመናቱ የነበሩ የኦሮሞ ፖለቲከኞች፣ ልሂቃንና የጎሳ መሪዎች እንጂ ወገኔ ስለሆነው የኦሮሞ ህዝብ እንዳልሆነ በቅድሚያ እንዲታወቅልኝ እፈልጋለሁ።
ባለኝ የግል ልምድና ግንዛቤ አንጻር እንደተረዳሁት አብዛኛዎቹ የኦሮሞ ፅንፈኛ ፖለቲከኞች ወይም ልሂቃን በዋናነት የሚያመሳስላቸው በኢትዮጵያ ውስጥ አለመረጋጋት፣ የፖለቲካ ለውጥ፣ ጦርነት ወይም ብጥብጥ ሲከሰትና ማዕከላዊ መንግስት ሲዳከም ሁኔታውን ለእነሱ ከሚያስገኘው ጥቅም አንጻር ነው የሚመለከቱት።
ለምሳሌ በሃገራችን የተከሰቱ ታሪኮችን ወደኋላ ሄደን ብንፈትሽ ይህንኑ ሃሳብ ሊያረጋግጡ የሚችሉ ክስተቶችን ልናገኝ እንችላለን። እንደሚታወቀው በኦቶማን ቱርክ እየታገዘ ከሃረር ተነስቶ መላ ኢትዮጵያን ያተራመሰው የግራኝ አህመድን ወረራ ምክንያት የማዕከላዊው መንግስትም ሆነ የሱልጣኔቶቹ ሃይል ሲዳከም የኦሮሞ የጎሳ መሪዎች በየአቅጣጫው ወረራ በማድረግ ተስፋፍተዋል። ኦሮሞ ያልሆኑ ነባር አጎራባች ጎሳዎች ላይ ወረራ በማድረግ በማፈናቀል መሬታቸውን ወርሰዋል፣ ከቀዬ አልሰደድም ያለውን ህዝብ ደግሞ የባህል ተጽእኖ በመፍጠር በሞጋሳና በጉዲፈቻ ኦሮሞ (Oromized) አድርገዋል፤ የኦሮሞ ገባር አድርገዋል።
ከዚያም በመቀጠል በተለይ ከጎንደር፣ ከወሎና ከሸዋ መኳንንቶች ጋር ህብረትና ዝምድና በመፍጠር የኦሮሞን ባላባቶች እስከ ንግሥና፣ የራስነትና ሌሎች ከፍተኛ የስልጣን ማዕረጎችን መቆጣጠር ችለዋል። በዘመነ መሳፍንት በታዩ የሥልጣን ሽኩቻዎች ውስጥም ተሳትፎ ነበራቸው። ከዚያም በመቀጠል አፄ ምኒሊክ ከኦሮሞ መኳንንቶች ጋር በነበራቸው የጠበቀ ግንኙነት፣ ጓደኝነትና ዝምድናን በመጠቀም ዘመናዊት ኢትዮጵያን በጋራ መገንባት ቢችሉም በሂደቱ በርካታ ኦሮሞዎች በሥልጣኑም፣ በኢኮኖሚውም፣ በትምህርቱም ሆነ የዘመኑ ሥልጣኔ ካመጣው ቱሩፋቶች ከማንም በላይ ተጠቃሚ ነበሩ።
በዘመናችን በተከሰተውም የዘር ፖለቲካ ውስጥ ከፍተኛ ተሳትፎ በማድረግ በግርግሩ የማይገባቸውን ጥቅም ማግበስበስ ችለዋል። እንደሚታወቀው በ1983 ዓ.ም ወያኔና ኦነግ የሽግግር መንግስት ሲመሰርቱ ከዛ ቀደም ብሎ በኢትዮጵያ ታሪክ ያልነበረ “ኦሮሚያ” የሚባል አዲስ ተሰምቶ የማይታወቅ ክልል ከዚህም ከዚያም መሬት በመንጠቅ ፈጠሩ። ኦነግ የመንግሥትን ለውጥ እንደ መልካም አጋጣሚ (opportunity) በመውሰድ ወያኔ የሰጠውን ወይም ለወያኔ አቅርቦ የጸደቀለትን አዲስ ካርታ (blue print) እጁ አስገባ። በክልሉም ውስጥ የሚገኙ የተለያዩ ቋንቋና ባህል ያላቸው የኢትዮጵያ ህዝቦችን መሰረታዊ የሚባሉ የመምረጥና የመመረጥ፣ በቋንቋቸው የመተዳደር፣ እንደ ዜጋ በሚፈልጉት የሃገራቸው አካባቢ ያለ አድሎና ተጽእኖ ሰርተው የመኖር መብትና ነጻነቶች በመንፈግ “ኦሮሚያ ለኦሮሞ” በሚል መሪ ቃል በክልሉ የሚኖሩ ሌሎች ኢትዮጵያውያንን በማግለል የክልሉን መንግስታዊ መዋቅር ከላይ እስከ ታች ድረስ ዘረጋ፣ በርካቶችንም “ከክላችን ውጡ” በማለት ለዘመናት ከኖሩበት አካባቢ አፈናቀለ፣ ሞት፣ በደልና እንግልት አደረሰ።
እንደሚታወቀው ጥቅመኛ (Opportunist) የሆነ ጽንፈኛ ሰው ወይም የፖለቲካ ድርጅት የሚያስቀድመው ጥቅሙን (advantage) እንጂ መርህን፣ ሞራልን፣ ታሪክንና ወንድማማችነትን አይደለም፣ ስለ ራሱ እንጂ ስለ ሌሎች መብትና ነፃነት አይጨነቅም። አብዛኛዎቹ የኦሮሞ ጽንፈኛ ፖለቲከኞችና ልሂቃን የሚያገኟትን ትናንሽ ገጠመኞችን ሳትቀር ለራሳቸው ወይም ለጎሳቸው በሚያመቻቸው ሁኔታ መጠቀም የሚፈልጉ ጥቅመኞች (Opportunist) ናቸው ሲባል ያለባህሪያቸው የሌለባቸውን ስም ለመስጠት ሳይሆን ካለፈና አሁንም ከሚፈጽሙት ድርጊቶቻቸው በመነሳት ነው።
በተለይ ሃገር አደጋ ውስጥ በወደቀችበትና ህዝብ ግራ ተጋብቶ በተጨነቀበት ሰዓት ከሃቅ፣ ከሞራል፣ ከታሪክ፣ ከኢትዮጵያዊነት በፊት የሚያስቀድሙት የኦሮሞን ብሔር በግርግሩ የሚያገኘውን ልዩ ጥቅም ነው። ለምሳሌ ላለፉት 26 ዓመታት በኦሮሚያ ክልል ያ ሁሉ አማራ በገጀራ ሲታረድ፣ በጥይት ሲቆላ፣ ከገደል ሲወረወር፣ በእሳት ሲቃጠል፣ ተወልዶ ካደገበት ከሃገሩ ሲፈናቀል ግድ ሳይሰጣቸው፣ ትኩረታቸው ይህ ቦታ ወይም አካባቢ የኦሮሞ ነው የሚል የሃብት ሽሚያና የጥቅመኝነት ጥያቄ እንጂ ወያኔ እያፈራረሳት ስላለው የጋራ ሃገርና የህዝቦችን የዘመናት ትስስር አልነበረም።
ጽንፈኛ የሆኑ የኦሮሞ ፖለቲከኞችና ልሂቃን ለንደን ላይ ተሰባስበው ኢትዮጵያን አፈራርሰን ኦሮሚያን እንገነጥላለን እያሉ ሲፎክሩ በኢትዮጵያ የመንግስት መዋቅር ውስጥ የሚገኙት ወርቅ ህዝብ ነን ለሚሉት የወያኔ ትግሬዎች አገልጋይ የሆኑት የኦህዴድ ካድሬዎች ደግሞ ጨፌ ኦሮሚያ ተሰባስበው በአዲስ አበባ ላይ ኦሮሞ (ኦሮሚያ) ከሌላው ኢትዮጵያ ዜጋ “ልዩ ጥቅም” ይገባዋል የሚል ረቂቅ ሰነድ አዘጋጅተው ለፌዴራል መንግስቱ ፓርላማ ለውይይትና ለውሳኔ አቀረቡ። ሌላው ቢቀር የወያኔ ተቃዋሚ ነን፣ የሁሉንም መብት የምታከብር ዲሞክራሲያዊት ኢትዮጵያን መገንባት እንጂ መገንጠልን አንደግፍም የሚለው የነ ዶ/ር መራራ ጉዲና ድርጅት የሆነው ኦፌኮ/ኦብኮ ሳይቀር አዲስ አበባ በኦሮሚያ ስር በመሆን አለባት የሚል የጥቅም ጥያቄ አቀረበ።
በነ ሌንጮ ለታ፣ ዶ/ር ዲማ ነገዎ፣ ዶ/ር በያን አሶባ የሚመራው ኦዴግ የሚባለው አሜሪካ የሚገኘው የኦሮሞ የፖለቲካ ድርጅት ደግሞ ለኢትዮጵያ ህዝብ ስለዝርዝር ይዘቱ ግልጽ ባያደርገውም ለአውሮፓ ፓርላማ ኦሮሞን ወክሎ በቅርቡ የሽግግር መንግስት ሰነድ ማቅረቡ ይታወቃል። ከዚህ በላይ ጥቅመኝነት ወይም opportunist-ነት ያለ አይመስለኝም።

Thank you Ali for mentioning about this unfounded and untimely assertion and speculation without facts. This is really untimely writing here. We had this for the last how many years arguing, discussing . Having this type of speculation or unfounded baseless statement will take us an inch forward. This is the time to focus on what is going in the field at home. What are the Queero and Fanos are doing and also what is going within EPRDF at the time when TPLF is somehow losing some ground to govern. There are things going on at home even though small at the time but in the right direction. This can be reversed but I am hopeful they will succeed, there is no return to the the past where TPLF commands everything. TPLF has lost the politics, propaganda, economy, and above all the trust of the people including its frustrated members. It only hanging on its security and the Agazi army. Please let us not dwell with things that divide us more by bringing past rhetoric. Let us focus on things that bring us together and make us strong to crush what is remained of TPLF.

The detail of the writing shows more than the above paragraph. Your diatribe is a thing of the past. The Ethiopian intellectuals have written, discussed for a long time in different groups and a lot has been written against and for. These are documented and one can find and read from all side not only one sided divisive like the above. In general, the Ethiopian intellectuals at the time written a lot and has contributed to what is going now. The Oromo intellectuals has contributed a lot and has a big impact on what is going now in the Oromia region . The current Oromo youth in part the product of the struggle of these three intellectuals mentioned above. It is their struggle that produced (Queerroo) this gallant fighting force that shocked and chocked the TPLF. It is the Oromo youth struggle that influenced the Amhara fanno struggle to the north. It is not really the time to respond in detail except saying the arada say”

Who is Oromo? or ‘qualifies’ or ‘considered’ as Oromo? What about some one like me who is of mixed parentage? How about those who live in current day Oromia? Are Oromos Ethiopians? Why is Addis Abeba in Oromia? Have the 4 million or so residents been asked?
This is a childish question that deserves childish reply. This is the same as asking Who is Ethiopian? what qualifies to be Ethiopian? the mos ridiculous question is “Are Oromos Ethiopians? This is not a question, it is an insult to Oromos and Ethiopians. This is a serious time that needs serious discussion. Please if you do not have to say something important, please shut your mouth. Do not trash this respected media. This media is a very serious and respected one with a lot things to learn from but this last couple of months I see some people putting very silly things. As an example is a question Are Oromos Ethiopians? This is very divisive and to keep this media as respected as it was, we must counter this type hate mongering.
This writer criminalizes the whole history of the Oromo. What is his objective? What does he want the Oromo do? Disappear? He certainly is not interested in building a new Ethiopia, but the extermination of the Oromo. He believes that to be a true Ethiopian one must hate the Oromo. No wonder the Oromo organize separately to defend themselves against ‘Ethiopian’ Nazies like this guy. Why is golgul publishing such hateful propaganda against a people? What is the project that golgul advancing? Destroying the possibility of building a new Ethiopia? Shame.
Golgul has been a media for expressing our thoughts and ideas to promote equality, justice, unity and prosperity for our country. It has been a media for sometime to bring understanding and also became a bridge to bring the different understanding of country’s history and above all the peaceful coexistence of the nation and nationalities that lived together for along time with mutual respect. The last four five decades at times there were serious discussions, arguments among Ethiopian intellectuals from all sphere sometimes healthy and other times unhealthy. One of the big contention was the question of the Oromo intellectual. The discussion has taken about forty years with some common understanding today than it was five ten years ago. This understanding unfortunately did not come from the intellectuals from both sides (the Oromo and the Unity people as they are called on the media), they both were pushed by the youth movement (Queerro) . This movement of the youth for the last three years shocked and chocked TPLF and totally made them dysfunctional and forced them to make concessions like releasing political prisoners. The youth movement of Queerro and Fano brought closer the divided intellectuals to think of Unity leaving their diatribe.
This media Golgul has made its contributions to the struggle of the Ethiopian people. It also entertained a healthy discussion to bring the division as narrow as possible. For some reason this last couple of days when the sound of unity is ringing i see some articles popping up to destroy the fragile understanding we reached. Some people are bringing back old questions and statements made by then leaders (as mentioned in the article ፅንፈኛ የኦሮሞ ፖለቲከኞች (ልሂቃን) ) as something current and try to derail the unity path, it is a futile attempt.
The three mentioned leaders are still serving the Ethiopian peoples freedom movement in a different way than they did before. They are again fighting the same enemy we all fight. Please do not bring an old statement, instead forgive if you have any grudge and let us continue the path of freedom. I also understand your right to your opinion and the Golgul media also giving you a space to express , but please refrain from outdated thinking and statements. Let us work together to get read of TPLF’s genocide, atrocities, corruption.
