ከአጀማመሩ የሻዕቢያ ውልድ እንደሆነ የተነገረለት ሕወሓት ሲመሠረት ምልመላውንም ሆነ አመራሩን የሻዕቢያ ሰዎች እንደተቆጣጠሩት ሲነገር የኖረ ነው፡፡ በተለይም “የሻዕቢያ ከፍተኛ አመራሮች ሙሴ ባራኪና የማነ ኪዳኔ (ጃማይካ) ሃላፊና መሪ ሆነው ወደ ትግራይ” እንደገቡና የሕወሓት ፕሮግራም “ኤርትራ የኢትዮጵያ አይደለችም፤ የኢትዮጵያ ቅኝ ግዛት ናት፤ … ለኤርትራ መገንጠል ሙሉ ኃይላችንን እናውላለን፤ እስከመጨረሻውም ደማችንን እናፈሳለን…” በሚል አቋም ላይ እንዲሆን ማድረጋቸውን የወያኔ ታላቅ ሤራ ገጽ 49 ላይ ተገልጾዋል፡፡ ለዚህም ፕሮግራም አስፈጻሚነት ኤርትራውያኑ መለስ (ለገሠ) ዜናዊ፣ ዓባይ (አትክልት) ጸሐዬ፣ ሥዩም በርሄ … ተመልምለው የሻዕቢያን ፕሮፓጋንዳ በሚያስፋፉበት ወቅት አካሄዱ ትክክል አለመሆኑን በመቃወም አሠራሩ “በጠባብ ብሔረተኝነት ያስወቅሰናል … በኢትዮጵያ ሕዝብም ያስመታናል” በሚል ተቃውሞ በማስነሳት “ዓባይ ጸሐዬና መለስ ዜናዊ የሚሠሩት ትክክል አይደለም … በቶሎ በቁጥጥር ሥር ማዋል አለብን” በማለት የተንቀሳቀሱትን መምህር ዳዊት፣ አጽብሃ ዳኘው፣ ዕቁባግዚ በየነ፣ ሕንጻ ሽፈራው፣ ወርቅነህ ሐጎስ፣ በርሄ ጥማሎ፣ መንገሻ በላይ፣ ዓባይ ደግፈኒ፣ ሙሉጌታ አብርሃም፣ አልማዝ አስፋው፣ ኪዳኔ ግርማ፣ ሃዲሽ ዮሐንስ … (ሁሉም የትግራይ ተወላጆች) ባለራዕዩና ታላቁ መሪ መለስ ከዓባይ ጸሐዬና ስብሃት ነጋ ጋር በመሆን በሌሊት አሳፍነው በማስወሰድ ካስገደሉ በኋላ በቀጣይ ከሻዕቢያ ቀንደኛ አመራሮች ከነመሐመድ ረመዳንና ስብሐት ኤፍሬም ጋር በመሆን የሻዕቢያን ዓላማ እስከመጨረሻው ለማስፈጸም እየተንቀሳቀሱ መሆናቸውን ትንቢታዊ በሆነ መልኩ በዚሁ ጽሑፍ ላይ ተገልጾ ነበር፡፡
አቶ በረከት ይህንን ታሪካዊ የወያኔና የሻዕቢያ ትስስር ባልካደ መልኩ ነበር ቃለምልልሱ ያደረጉት፡፡ “በኢትዮጵያ ቅኝ ግዢ ተይዘናል” በሚል “ነጻነት” እንደሚፈልጉ ወስነው በነበሩ የኤርትራ ተወላጆች ላይ የተወሰደው ወደ አገራቸው የመመለስ ሂደት ፍጹም ስህተት እንደሆነ የተናገሩት አቶ በረከት፣ በወቅቱ ለተወሰደው እርምጃ አቶ ስዬ አብርሃ፣ አቶ ገብሩ አስራትና እነ አቶ ተወልደን ተጠያቂ አድርገዋል። ስህተቱንም አንድ ወቅት የተደረገ፣ ካሁን በኋላ የማይደገም እንደሆነ ዋስትና ሰጥተዋል። አቶ በረከት የከሰሷቸው የተጠቀሱት የቀድሞ የሕወሓት ባለስልጣናት ሟቹን አቶ መለስን በአገር ክህደት የወነጀሉና ሻዕቢያ መደምሰስ አለበት በማለት ቁርጠኛ አቋም በመያዝ በድርጅታቸው የታገሉ እንደነበሩ በብዙዎች ዘንድ አይዘነጋም።
ኤርትራ “ቅኝ ግዢ በቃኝ” ካለች በኋላ አመራሮቿ በኢትዮጵያ በተለያዩ መስኮች የንግድ ዝርፊያ ሲያካሂዱ እንደ ነበር በስፋት የተወሳ ቢሆንም አቶ በረከት የሃሰት (ፎርጂድ) ዶላር በማተም፣ ቡናና ሰሊጥ “በኮንትሮባንድ” በማጋዝ ሲሰራ የነበረውን ሸፍጥ ጠቁመዋል። ኢትዮጵያ ላይ እንዲህ አይነቱ ሸፍጥ መሰራቱን ሲናገሩ ለምን የሻዕቢያ አመራሮችና ወኪሎቻቸው እንዳልተከለከሉ አላብራሩም። ይህ ህገወጥ ንግድ ለባድመ ወረራ ምክንያት መሆኑን ግን ጠቁመዋል። ከባድመ ወረራ ጀርባ የተለያዩ ችግሮች አንዳሉም አመላክተዋል።
“ባድመ መሬቱ የኢትዮጵያ እንዳልሆነ ይታወቃል” በማለት የሚያስተዳድሯትን አገር በክህደት ጅራፍ እየገረፉ መናገራቸውን በቁጭት የገለጹ አስተያየት ሰጪ “ልቤን ያደማኝ” በማለት የተናገሩት አቶ በረከት “በባድመ ጉዳይ ፍርድ ቤት እንሂድ ያልነው እኛ ነን” በማለት እንደ ትልቅ ጀብዱ መናገራቸውን ነው ይላሉ።
በወረራ ወቅት በተለይም በትምህርት ገበታቸው ላይ በነበሩት በአይደር ትምህርት ቤት ተማሪዎች ላይ በጠራራ ጸሃይ ቦንብ ላወረደባቸው ሻዕቢያ ተመጣጣኝ ምላሽ በመስጠት ጦርነቱ ተጠናቀቀ ሲባል፣ ወደ ፍርድ ቤት ለመሄድ 
የተስማሙትና መላው የትግራይ ሕዝብ “ተጎዲእና” ብሎ መሪር ሐዘኑ የገለጸላቸው ባለራዕዩ መሪ የፈጸሙት ክህደት ለሚያንገበግባቸው ክፍሎች አቶ በረከት ባድመን አስመልክቶ የሰጡት ምላሽ አንድ አገር ወክሎ ከሚናገር ሰው የሚጠበቅ አለመሆኑን ከአስተያየት ሰጪው ገለጻ ለመረዳት ተችሏል።
አቶ በረከት “ፍርድ ቤት ሄደን ተሸንፈናል። ውሳኔውን መቀበል ግዳጅ ነው። የኛ ያልሆነ መሬት ወደኛ እንዲመጣ አንፈልግም። መሬቱንም የመስጠት ችግር የለብንም…” ማለታቸውን ኢትዮጵያን የማኮሰስ፣ ህዝብን የመናቅ፣ ወረራውን ለመመከት የተሰውትን የኢትዮጵያ ልጆች ደም የሚረግጥ፣ በአንድነቱ የማይደራደረውን የትግራይን ህዝብ “ምን ታመጣለህ” በሚል አኮስሶ የመመልከት ያህል ተደርጎ መወሰዱን አኚሁ አስተያየት ሰጪ ተናግረዋል። አክለውም ወዳጆቻቸው የቀድሞ ታጋዮች በጉዳዩ ዙሪያ እየመከሩበት እንደሆነ አመልክተዋል። ከባድመ በፊት ሻዕቢያ ሊወገድ እንደሚችል አስታውቀዋል።
በስደት እንግሊዝ አገር የሚኖሩ አቶ ሰለሞን የተባሉ ኢትዮጵያዊ አቶ በረከት በህወሃት ሰዎች ዘንድ ቀድሞውንም ተቀባይነት እንደሌላቸው አስታውቀዋል። ንግግራቸው በቀድሞ ታጋዮች ዘንድ እሳት መጫሩንም አመልክተዋል። ሻዕቢያ የምንጊዜም የኢትዮጵያ፣ በተለይም የትግራይ ህዝብ ጠላት መሆኑን አምነው ከበረሃ ጀምሮ በዚሁ አቋማቸው የጸኑ ነባር ታጋዮች አቶ በረከት ላይ ዘመቻ መጀመራቸውን ጠቁመዋል፡፡ አቶ በረከት “የኤርትራን ተወላጆች ማባረር አግባብ አልነበረም” ሲሉ ጥርሳቸው ሳይቀር እየተነቀለ በረሃ የተወረወሩና በአሰብ ወደብ በኩል ያስገቡት ንብረት ተዘርፎባቸው በዜሮ ስለወጡ ወገኖች የተሰማቸውን ሃዘን አልገለጹም። አስተያየት ሰጪው አክለውም አንዳንድ ሚዲያዎች ከራሳቸው ድብቅ ፍላጎት አንጻር የአቶ በረከትን ቃለ ምልልስ በመቆንጠር በአማርኛ በመተርጎም ቅድሚያ መውሰዳቸውን ተናግረዋል።
ኢትዮጵያዊያንን ከኤርትራ ማባረር የጀመረው ሻዕቢያ መሆኑን፣ ኢትዮጵያም በንዴት የኤርትራ ተወላጆችን ማባረሯን ያመለከቱት አቶ በረከት ሻዕቢያ ተው ሲባል አልሰማ ብሎ ወረራ ማካሄዱን አትተዋል። ከውጊያው በኋላ በፍርድ ቤት ውሳኔ መሰረት ድንበር ለማካለል ይቻል ዘንድ ለመነጋገር የቀረበለትን ጥያቄ ሻዕቢያ አልቀበልም ማለቱን፣ ድንበሩን ለማካለል ግን የግድ መነጋገር እንደሚያስፈልግ ተናግረዋል።
የኢሳያስ መንግስት ተቃዋሚዎች ነው በተባለው የፓልቶክ ክፍል ቃለ ምልልስ ያደረጉት አቶ በረከት በኤርትራ የነጻነት ጥያቄው ምላሽ ቢያገኝም ያልተመለሱ፣ የታፈኑ፣ የጎሳና የቋንቋ ጥያቄዎች መኖራቸውን አመላክተዋል። በኤርትራ የመብት ጥያቄ ያነሱትን ክፍሎችንም እንደሚረዱ አስታውቀዋል። ይህ ማለት ግን “መገንጠልን በማበረታት” አይደለም ብለዋል።
መንግስት የሚረዳቸው በብሄርና በብሄራዊ ፓርቲ ደረጃ የተደራጁ የኤርትራ ተቃዋሚ ድርጅቶች ሻዕቢያን የሃይማኖት፣ የብሄር፣ የጎሳ፣ የቋንቋና የተለያዩ የዲሞክራሲ ጥያቄዎች በማንሳት በተለያየ መልኩ እየታገሉ መሆኑ ይታወቃል። አዲስ 
አበባ ላይ ተሰብስበው የስደት መንግስትም ማቋቋማቸው አይዘነጋም። በተለይም በርካታ ቁጥር ያላቸው ቆለኞችና “አሰብን ተነጥቄያለሁ” የሚለው የአፋር ንቅናቄ አቅሙ ከጎለበተ ለኤርትራ የወደፊቱ ፈተና ሊሆን እንደሚችል በተደጋጋሚ የሚገለጽ ጉዳይ ነው። አቶ መለስ በሻዕቢያና በኤርትራ ላይ ባላቸው ተለሳላሽነት እንጂ የኢትዮጵያ አፋሮች ትግል ሙሉ ድጋፍ ቢደረግለት ኤርትራ ለኢትዮጵያ ስጋት መሆኗ ተረት ሊሆን እንደሚችል ባለሙያዎች በተለያዩ ወቅቶች አስተያየት የሰጡበት ጉዳይ እንደነበር አይዘነጋም።

Let us just put the facts in place first. Here there are two illegitimate regimes, unelected war lords running the two nations. For years the parasitic interdependence kept them together to consolidate their powers in their respective nations, in the process the gangs in Ethiopia particularly neglected the national interest and unimagiable criminality. Eritrea allowed to Use Ethiopian currency for as long as 7 years, no banking rules apply here. As a result rampant financial crimes committed under the eyes of the regime in Ethiopia, resulting ecomonic ruin for the nation devastated the lives of millions of small businesses. In all these years, the place called BADEME was officially under Ethiopian territory and there was no ,at least in public, question of Eritrean claim. When the criminality reached to a level that threatened even the exiatance of the regime in Addis Ababa, now some thing has to be done. In the process of taking action to stop these finacial crimes, the gangs in Addis Ababa upset the gangs in Asmara. interestingly there is also a reliable strory that there was an Ethiopian deligation negotiating with Asmara gangs who had to face the humilation of being draged out of their hotels and throwen out on the street. The Gangs in Asmara, suffering from such pathological superiority complex over their cusines in Ethiopia ( no plausible explanation), launched a war of invasion and claimed BADEM. Caught off guard and having destroyed the countries defence forces, the gands in Addis Ababa panicked while their cusines in the north glowing with their brief milirary superiority and contimued to intimidate by further incurstion and even with air raid on schools and pharmacutical plant to show the pathetic gangs in Addis who the boss is and putting their rediculous demands. Mean while the Asmara gangs were celebrating their short lasting victory in several street paries as the bombs rain on schools. The Addis gangs as confused and panick as they are and their ass on fire, started to look for the support of the people they brutally tumatised for years and ask them to run around the tricolor flag that they called a piece cloth before. The preparation for all out war started and the rest is a sad history.
BADEM is a pretext not the real cause of the war. As I mentioned before the uncontrolled financial criminality was causing increasing resentment in Ethiopia and some of the gang members tried to control ,this as a result upsetting the gangs in the north. One most important and obvious reason was the introduction of Erirean currency nakfa and Ethiopian gangs rejection of Eritrean gangs proposal to estabilish parity between the Nakfa and Birr. That is now tooo much even for treasonous gangs in Addis to accept. That is why Asmara’s gangs unwisely attempted to use force to get what they want. What did they tell the people? not these fact! but instead the population was told that the territorial issue, namely Badme is the cause of the war. Sadly no body has been made to pay for this crime of unimaginable proportion .
